1

Contract option

Which NEC4 ECC main Option applies?

Take this from the executed contract, not from the tender documents.

2

Quotation position

Which best describes the quotation? Select all that apply.

A Compensation Event assessment considers the effect of the event, not simply the gross value of added work.

3

Dividing date and cost basis

Has the reviewer identified the relevant dividing date?

The dividing date affects whether cost is reviewed using work already done and/or forecast work not yet done.

Does the quotation distinguish actual Defined Cost already incurred from forecast Defined Cost where relevant?

Defined Cost is assessed under the contract mechanism and is not simply the same as accounting cost.

4

Pricing basis

How has the quotation primarily been built up?
5

Cost component review

For each area: has the effect of the CE on this cost area been considered? Recording an area does not imply it is recoverable.

People

Equipment / plant

Materials

Subcontractor cost

Working Area-related cost

Manufacture / fabrication (where applicable)

Design

Temporary works

Additional supervision / management caused by the CE

Existing staff cost should not automatically be added merely because they worked on the CE. Check whether the event actually increased Defined Cost.

Prolongation effects

Removal / omission savings

Fee

Other applicable contractual cost components

6

Causation and incremental effect

For the main cost items, is there evidence that the cost change was caused by the Compensation Event?

Cost being present on the project does not by itself show that the Compensation Event increased Defined Cost.

Do any of these apply? Select all that apply.
Is any cost escalation or inflation claimed?
7

Fee

Has Fee treatment been identified?

Check the executed Contract Data and applicable Fee percentages. Fee is not calculated here.

8

Programme / time impact

Does the quotation claim any effect on planned Completion, the Completion Date or Key Dates?
